The conference language is English and all abstracts and full papers must be submitted in English. Only research papers that have not been published elsewhere will be accepted.

 

 

Refereeing Process

 

All abstracts will be double-blind peer reviewed and accepted abstracts will be invited to be developed into full papers. Each submitted full paper will also be double-blind peer reviewed by members of the International Scientific Committee. Accepted papers by registered authors will be published in the conference proceedings (with an ISBN).

Authors of selected papers will be invited to extend their papers for submission to, and publication in, Architectural Science Review (ASR), published by Taylor & Francis. 

 

 

 

Abstract Submissions (closed) 

 

We invite you to submit an extended abstract of no more than 700 words with up to 5 key references, on or before 05 June 2017 via Easychair Conference System .

 

The abstract must address and relate to the conference theme: “Back to the Future: The next 50 years.” Suggested lenses through which to explore the conference theme are (brackets indicate possible topics but are not exclusive):

  

  • Vision (trajectories, speculations & phenomena)

  • Theory (philosophy, methodology, culture & society, history)

  • Context (landscape, urban design, heritage)

  • Design (buildings, details, (digital) design)

  • Simulation (calibration & validation, virtual, augmented & mixed environments, climate change)

  • Architectural Science (environmental quality, well-being, health)

  • Modes of production (construction technology, productivity, BIM, CIM, robotics, innovative technology, automation)

  • Practice, Education & Profession (building code, professionalism, development, safety, pedagogy)

 

 

 

Paper Submissions (31 July 2017) 

 

Guidelines for the preparation of full papers for double-blind peer review are provided in the file below. This file also serves as a template for the preparation of your full paper. Please read the guidelines carefully.

  • You must comply with the guideline and template, otherwise, your paper will not be accepted.

  • The paper must address and relate to the conference theme.

  • For review purposes there should be no author identifying information on the paper. 

  • For each full or partial page that exceeds the maximum page limit a fee of NZD 200.00 will be charged.

  • Submit paper via Easychair Conference System.

Author / Speaker Registration (Please register via the Registration-link above)

 

At least one author of each paper accepted for presentation at the conference must pay Full Registration fee to have the paper published in the proceedings and be part of the conference programme. Registration and payment must be received by 10 Oct. 2017 to be included. Each registered author can present up to two papers for one registration fee; however, for any additional paper presented by the same registered author beyond these two papers, an additional registration fee of NZD200.00 per paper will incur to cover related administration costs.

There is no restriction on how many papers an individual might be listed on as a co-author.

For each page that is over the maximum page limit, a fee of NZD200.00 per page will be charged.

 

For convenience, here, we have attached a ppt slide. The use of this slide is optional. However, all PowerPoints should be set up as a 16:9 size ratio.
